Admission Check-In lets you check Registrants and Ticket Holders into your event using any phone, tablet, or computer with a web browser. Event staff can scan QR codes, enter codes, or search for guests. Alternatively, guests can check themselves in at a kiosk. Staff do not need to sign in to ClearEvent. A device is connected once using a QR code or key, and opened with a four-digit PIN.
Admission Check-In is for getting guests into the event. To check guests into individual sessions, see Session Self-Check-In: Setup Self-Check-In for Schedule Line Items.
How It Works
In the Event Manager App > Event Setup section > Admission Check-In tab, then create a Device Profile. It sets who can be admitted, when check-in is open, and how the device behaves.
Connect each device to the profile by scanning the profile's QR code from your desired check-in devices, opening its link, or by entering its key directly.
Launch check-in on the device with the profile's PIN.
Check guests in. Each check-in is recorded and viewable in the history.

Who Can Be Checked In
Approved Registrants and Ticket Holders whose Registrant Type or Ticket is chosen as one of the profile's Admission Targets.
Only during the profile's Check-In Window, and only while the profile is enabled and not past its Valid Until date.
Each guest is checked in once, unless their Registrant Type or Ticket allows multi-day check-in. Then they can be checked in once per day.
Pending, declined, and canceled registrations and canceled tickets cannot be checked in.

📝NOTES:
When you copy an event or roll it over to a new event, its Admission Check-In profiles are copied too. The copies are disabled and have a new key, so devices connected to the old event do not carry over. Review each copy, then enable it.
Device profiles are not shared between events. Each event has its own.
💡TIPS:
Plan one profile per type of entrance, such as general admission, VIP, or exhibitors, and name each profile after it.
Set up and test every device a day or more before your event.
