Import a CSV file into ClearEvent Badge Maker to create personalized badges for each attendee.
When To Use This
Use this article when each badge should include registrant-specific details, such as name, job title, registrant type, company name, or confirmation code.
Import Your Attendee Data
Before You Begin
Prepare a Comma Separated Values (.CSV) file with column headers in the first row. followed by one data row for each attendee.
Exporting Attendees From ClearEvent:
If you are using ClearEvent for event registration and ticketing, you can easily export registrants from your event by following these steps:
Go to https://app.clearevent.com and edit the desired event to open the Event Manager App.
Go to the Registration module > Registrants tab and click the Export button to export Registrant data. Click here to learn more about exporting registrant data.
Go to the Tickets module > Ticket Holders tab and click the Export button to export ticket holder data. Click here to learn more about exporting ticket holder data.
Import Attendees From Any .CSV File:
You can build your own .CSV file containing a list of attendees by ensuing each row after the record contains only one record. Example CSV headers might include:
FirstName,LastName,CompanyName,JobTitle,ConfirmationCode,RegistrantType
John,Doe,AcmeCorp,CEO,A123456,Attendee
Steps
Open your badge design in ClearEvent Badge Maker.
In the left panel, go to Fields and click Import CSV.
Select your CSV file.
After the CSV imports, review the available field chips in the Fields panel.
Click a field chip to add it to the badge as a placeholder.
Move and style the placeholder text on the badge canvas.
Add fields to text or QR code elements when you want those values to change for each registrant.
Click Preview in the top toolbar to see the badge populated with registrant data.
Use the previous and next record controls to review different registrants.
Use the Search box to find a specific registrant while previewing.
NOTES: Placeholder values use the CSV column names. For example, a field named RegistrantType can be used as {RegistrantType}.
TIPS: Use QR codes for confirmation codes, check-in URLs, or other scannable registrant-specific values.
