Learn how to share a link to your Event Portal with attendees

To share event details with guests, you may wish to share a link to your Event Portal, a specific registration form, or even a ticket. ClearEvent provides various types of Share Links that you can share with guests to direct them to specific areas of the ClearEvent platform.

Share Links

There are three main types of Share Links you can use to direct guests to your event.

Event Portal Share Link:

The Event Portal Share Link directs people to your Event Portal > Home page where they can browse event details, or sign up to attend your event using any of the published registration forms or tickets you have made available.

To copy the Event Portal Share Link:

  1. Go to the Event Manager App > Event Setup section > General tab > Share Link field and copy the link.

  2. This link can be pasted into emails, social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), newsletters, or even into an existing website you may own. Guests who click this link will be directed to your Event Portal > Home page.

To add a Share Button on the Event Portal:

  1. Go to the Event Manager App > Event Setup section > General tab > Check the box beside Share Button.

  2. This will allow your guests to obtain the share link easily from the Event Portal header. They can then share your event in emails and on social media posts (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) helping you boost exposure for your event and increase attendance.

Registration Form Share Link:

Using a Registration Form Share Link, guests can be directed to a specific public or private registration form if needed.

To copy the Registration Form Share Link:

  1. Go to the Event Manager App > Registration section > Forms tab > edit a form > Publish tab > Share Link field and copy the link.

  2. This link can be pasted into emails, social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), newsletters, or even into an existing website you may own. Guests that click this link will be directed to a specific registration form.

Ticket Share Link:

Using a Ticket Share Link, guests can be directed to a page that will one or more tickets that are available for purchase.

To copy the Ticket Share Link:

  1. Go to the Event Manager App > Tickets section > Tickets tab > edit a ticket you wish to share > Publish tab > Share Link area.

  2. Depending on how you have configured the ticket you wish to share, you may see up to three different Ticket Share Links options available.

    1. Only this ticket (Public or Private)
      This link will direct guests to a specific public or private ticket to purchase.

    2. All public tickets in the same Ticket Group
      This link will direct guests to a list of tickets (in the same ticket group) to purchase.

    3. All public tickets
      This link will direct guests to a list of all public tickets that can be purchased.

  3. Copy whichever Ticket Share Link suits your needs.

  4. This link can be pasted into emails, social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), newsletters, or even into an existing website you may own. Guests that click this link will be directed to a page where they can place a ticket order.
