Event Participants vs. the Public

Members of the public (and also any participant who has not signed in) can only see “public” information on the Event Portal. They don't have access to the Event Manager App.

Participants (who have registered to participate in your event) can optionally sign in to the Event Portal to access personalized Schedules, Jobs, Tasks and Messages that have been shared with them. Participants are also not allowed to access the Event Manager App.

Event Team Members

ClearEvent includes simple-to-use controls that allow you to invite people to join your event organizing team (or "event team" for short). Only members of your event team are allowed to access the Event Manager App and can help you plan & run your event. Event teams consists of one or more team members (also referred to as Event Managers). Each event team member can be assigned access rights to one or more sections of the Event Manager App.

NOTE: Only team members assigned to the Event Admin role or Event Owner role can invite new team members and assign security roles.

Access rights can be granted to each team member to allow them to access all of the Event Manager App or just a single part of it. When a team member signs in to the Event Manager App, their assigned security roles are used to filter the navigation menu to only show the sections that their assigned roles allow them to see.
