Learn how to connect your Google Analytics 4 with your ClearEvent Event Portal to receive page view requests.

Updated over a year ago

Connecting your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) account to the ClearEvent platform enables you to gain deeper insights into the behavior of visitors and attendees as they navigate through the Event Portal Mobile Web App. Please note that only GA4 accounts are supported. Older versions like Universal Analytics cannot be connected.

Why Connect GA4 to ClearEvent?

By integrating GA4 with ClearEvent, you can:

  1. Monitor real-time traffic on your event portal.

  2. Analyze visitor demographics, interests, and behavior.

  3. Track event registration and ticket sales funnels.

  4. Gain insights into which pages or sections of your event portal are most popular.

Steps to Connect Your GA4 Account to ClearEvent:

  1. Go to the Event Manager App > Event Setup section > Integrations tab:

  2. Scroll down until you find the "Analytics" section.

  3. Enter the Measurement ID. You'll need to enter your GA4 Measurement ID. This ID is unique to your GA4 account and typically follows the format "G-XXXXXXXXXX".

  4. After entering your Measurement ID, make sure to save your changes to establish the connection.

Important: Ensure that you are entering the correct GA4 Measurement ID. If an incorrect Measurement Id is entered, no data will be collected.

Once the connection is successful, ClearEvent will begin exporting page view requests to your GA4 account. This allows you to monitor visitor activity on your Event Portal Mobile Web App directly from your Google Analytics dashboard.

To generate page view events in your GA4 account, browse your Event Portal and navigate between pages.

Happy planning!
