From time to time, you may need to export your event Budget out of ClearEvent for use in another system, such as an accounting system, or to use it as a template for other events you run.
To import your budget to an event, see Budget Import.
How to export your budget
To export your budget, simply follow these step-by-step details:
Go to Budget and click Export.
Your web browser may then prompt you to download a .CSV Excel File that will contain your budget data.
Budget Line Item Types
The budget export file will contain multiple rows (line items) which represent the revenue and expense budget line items you have added to your budget.
There are two types of rows that can appear in the export file. The LineItemType column in the export file can be used to determine the row type and can have the following values:
1.) Budget Line Item
These rows represent individual revenue or expense line items from your budget. Each revenue or expense budget line item will be represented by a single Budget Line Item row in the export file.
Example: Sample budget export file showing budget line item
NOTES:
If the Budget Line Item row has any associated details, additional detail rows will follow the Budget Line Item row. These detail rows can be identified by the LineItemType column being set to "Budget Line Item Detail".
If the Budget Line Item is being automatically synchronized with the sum of all Detail Items, the ActualUnitCostSyncedWithDetails column will be "Yes".
2.) Budget Line Item Detail:
These rows represent any additional detail added to a revenue or expense Budget Line Item.
For example, adding multiple Detail Items to a Budget Line Item expense row will cause Budget Line Item Details rows to be included in the export file. These records are "nested" below their parent Budget Line Item row.

Notes about exporting budget data
