To allow registrants or ticket buyers to redeem a Promo Code on their ticket order or registration, you'll first have to share a published Promo Code with the ticket buyer or registrant.
NOTE: You must publish a Promo Code before it can be shared.
How to copy a Promo Code to your clipboard
To copy a Promo Code (e.g., "VIP20") to your clipboard:
Go to the Event Manager App > Promo Codes section > Promo Codes tab.
Select a Promo Code from the list.
Click the Copy Promo Code to clipboard button from the inline menu.
How to copy a Promo Code Share Message to your clipboard
A Promo Code Share Message is simply text that describes a saved Promo Code. For example "Use Promo Code "VIP20" at checkout to receive 20% off (per item). Some restrictions may apply". You can quickly copy a Promo Code Share Message to your clipboard by following these steps:
Go to the Event Manager App > Promo Codes section > Promo Codes tab.
Select a Promo Code from the list.
Click the Edit button to open the Promo Code edit page.
Click the Copy Share Message button from the toolbar menu to copy the share message to your clipboard.
Next, paste the share message in your clipboard into any email or post you like.
How to automatically apply a Promo Code to a Registration or Ticket Order.
Promo Codes can be automatically applied to any registration or ticket order. Doing this helps to ensure registrants and ticket buyers don't forget to enter any previously supplied Promo Code at checkout and miss out on the discount.
To have a Promo Code automatically applied at checkout, append the promo={PromoCode} query string parameter to the Share Link before you communicate the Share Link with a registrant or ticket buyer:
