Learn about the additional metadata fields that ClearEvent adds to Stripe charges to help reconcile transactions.

Updated over a week ago

When you sell tickets or paid registrations online using the ClearEvent platform, a Charge object is created in the Stripe account that's connected to your event.

ClearEvent adds additional details to the Charge object to help you reconcile charges with various activities in ClearEvent. These additional details appear as metadata (additional information) attached to the Charge object that is created when a payment is created successfully.

In your Stripe Dashboard, go to the Payments section and select a payment to view the metadata for a Charge object.
