To help organize your events and better manage bulk license assignments, ClearEvent supports the concept of Organizations.

What is an Organization?

You can think of an Organization like a bucket that holds one or more events. Every event that is created in ClearEvent must belong to an Organization. If you wear multiple hats and run events for more than one company, association or non-profit, then Organizations are a great way to keep your events isolated from each other.

You can view the Organizations that you belong you by clicking the Manage Organization link in the drop down menu (top right in the header navigation menu).

Assigning Organizations

By default, when you create a new event, ClearEvent uses the name of the event to create a Organization and places the newly created event within that Organization. Future events you add will be created and placed into the first Organization you have created.

If you purchased bulk licenses from ClearEvent, the Organization’s name will be assigned at the time the licenses are issued. At any time, you can change this name using the steps outlined in the next section.

Renaming your Organization

By default, when you create a new event, ClearEvent uses the name of the event to create a Organization. 

To rename your organization

  1. Click the Manage Organization link in the drop down menu (top right) in the header navigation menu.
  2. Select the organization from the Manage Organizations list.
  3. Click the Edit button.
  4. Click the Organization field to edit the field.
  5. Click the blue check mark to accept your changes.

You may want to rename your organization if you’re running a number of events. For example, you may be an association running multiple events and wish to use your association name as the organization name instead.

Organization Administrators

Organization Administrators (or Org Admins) can assign licenses within their organization to individual Event Owners by inviting new Event Administrators and assigning an existing license key. Org Admins can also create events themselves using any available license.

By default, if you create a new event and are not already part of an Organization, a new Organization will be created and you will be added as the Org Admin.

Adding Organization Administrators

At any time you can invite other organization administrators from the Manage Organizations > Organization Details > General tab by clicking the Add+ button for the Org Admins list.
